MakeMyTrip Hotel Registration: How to List Your Hotel on MMT

MakeMyTrip Hotel Registration in Short

Register free on the GoMMT extranet, live in 3 to 7 days

Registering your hotel on MakeMyTrip (MMT) costs nothing. You sign up on the GoMMT extranet, upload your GSTIN, PAN, cancelled cheque and trade licence, and wait 3 to 7 working days for KYC approval. You only pay once a booking comes in, as commission of 18 to 23 percent. On a ₹3,000 booking at 20 percent, that is ₹600.

What You Need Before You Register on MakeMyTrip

Most rejected applications fail on paperwork, not on the property. Keep these ready as scans before you start, and registration takes one sitting instead of three.

Requirement What MMT Expects
GSTIN certificate Required if your turnover crosses the GST threshold. Small homestays below it can register with a declaration instead.
PAN card Of the hotel entity, or of the proprietor for a sole proprietorship.
Cancelled cheque Bank account name must match the PAN name, or payouts get held.
Trade licence or registration Municipal trade licence, shop and establishment certificate, or state tourism registration.
Property photos 25 or more, at least 1280×960px. Listings below 25 photos rank and convert noticeably worse.
Registration fee None. MMT charges no joining fee. You pay commission only on bookings that come through.

Who Can Register

MMT accepts hotels, resorts, guest houses, homestays, villas and service apartments. Your property needs a physical address, at least one bookable room, and the legal right to accept paying guests. There is no minimum room count.

How to Register and List Your Hotel on MakeMyTrip: 5 Steps

1 Register on the GoMMT Extranet

Go to in.goibibo.com/newextranet/login and choose the option to list a new property. Registration is free. Fill in your property name, city, room count and contact details. You will get an OTP on your registered mobile number.

Why a Goibibo link for MakeMyTrip? MakeMyTrip and Goibibo merged into the GoMMT group and now share one extranet (the partner dashboard where you manage your listing). You register once on this link and your property appears on both MakeMyTrip and Goibibo. You do not need a separate Goibibo registration.

Use an email and mobile number you will keep. Every booking alert, rate change and payout notice goes there, and changing them later needs a support ticket.

2 Complete KYC Verification

Upload the following documents:

  • GSTIN certificate
  • PAN card (hotel entity or proprietor)
  • Cancelled cheque or bank statement
  • Hotel registration / trade licence
  • Property photos (25 or more, at least 1280×960px)

KYC approval takes 3 to 7 working days. MMT may call your property to verify the address and the contact person, so brief whoever answers the phone.

3 Set Up Your Property Listing

Once approved, complete your property profile: room types, amenities, policies (check-in time, pet policy, cancellation terms), and upload all photos. Incomplete listings rank lower in MMT search results.

4 Load Rates and Availability

Set your base rates for each room type and open inventory for the dates you want to sell. Use the MMT extranet or connect a channel manager to sync rates automatically.

5 Go Live and Monitor

Once content is complete and rates are loaded, your listing goes live. Monitor your ranking, review score, and conversion rate from the GoMMT extranet dashboard.

Expect a slow first month. New listings carry no reviews, and MMT ranks unreviewed properties lower. Most hotels see volume pick up after the first 5 to 10 reviews.

How Long MakeMyTrip Registration Takes, and What It Costs

Two questions come up before every listing. Here are the honest answers.

  • Time. Registration itself takes about 30 minutes. KYC approval takes 3 to 7 working days. Content and photo setup takes another day or two. Budget about two weeks from sign-up to your first booking.
  • Cost to register. Nothing. There is no joining fee, no annual fee and no listing charge.
  • Cost to sell. Commission of 18 to 23 percent per booking. On a ₹3,000 room night at 20 percent, MMT keeps ₹600 and you receive ₹2,400 before TDS.
  • Optional costs. Promotions and Smart Deals fund a further 5 to 8 percent discount out of your own rate. These are opt-in, not compulsory at sign-up.

Why Registrations Get Rejected or Delayed

  • Bank account name does not match the PAN name
  • Blurred or cropped document scans
  • Trade licence expired, which is the most common single reason
  • Fewer than 25 photos, or photos below 1280×960px
  • Property address on the licence does not match the address entered

MMT Extranet: Managing Your Listing Day-to-Day

The GoMMT extranet, which older guides still call Partner Central, is where you manage everything after going live:

Function Where to Find It
Update rates and availability Inventory & Rates section
View and manage bookings Reservations tab
Update photos and content Property Details section
View reviews and respond Reviews & Ratings tab
Download settlement reports Finance > Invoices
Create promotions and offers Promotions section
Pro Tip: If you list on more than 2 OTAs, managing MMT manually becomes time-consuming. A channel manager syncs rates and inventory to MMT automatically, one update, all channels updated.

Photos and Content That Drive More Bookings

MMT's algorithm ranks listings partly on content quality. Hotels with better content get more impressions and higher conversion rates.

Photo Requirements

  • 25 photos or more. This is what MMT expects, and fewer holds your ranking back
  • Resolution: 1280×960px minimum (1920×1080px recommended)
  • Must include: room interior, bathroom, property exterior, common areas, dining area
  • No watermarks, no text overlays, no heavy filters

Content Checklist

  • Property description: 150+ words, mention key landmarks and distance from railway/airport
  • Amenities: Mark every available amenity accurately, misleading info leads to bad reviews
  • Room types: Create separate listings for each room category (Standard, Deluxe, Suite)
  • Policies: Set clear check-in/check-out time, cancellation policy, and extra bed charges
